Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. It's a free personal tool by Sevki Bugra Ozbek — no license, no trial, no upsell. If it saves you an export-import round trip, it did its job.
Why does Windows warn me?
The Windows build isn't code-signed (certificates cost money; this tool is free). SmartScreen shows a one-time warning — click More info → Run anyway. The macOS build is signed and notarized by Apple.
Why Apple Silicon only?
The local helper that does the downloading and converting is built for Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs are not supported.
A download failed — why?
Private or region-locked videos can't be downloaded. Also make sure your project has been saved at least once — soundMatik saves audio next to the .prproj file, so it needs one to exist.
